Japan's traditions,brought to everyday life
from Asakusa.
unomisé is an Asakusa-born souvenir brand created by Miyamoto Unosuke Shoten, a craftsman's house founded in 1861, dedicated to making mikoshi (portable shrines), taiko drums, and festival implements for Japan's traditional performing arts. Alongside original pieces made in our own Asakusa workshop, we offer products born from collaborations with traditional artisans and artists across Japan—objects that carry Japanese tradition forward while finding a place in everyday life around the world.

Through the making of mikoshi, taiko, and festival implements, Miyamoto Unosuke Shoten has long supported Japan's festivals and traditional performing arts. In our Asakusa workshop, a diverse community of artisans practices their craft day after day. The unomisé original pieces they create bring a touch of festive radiance to your everyday life.
